How pretty the cherry is!
I really wish that I can have a chance to see cherry blossom flowers in one day.
Yeah, one day I will be there to witness all these, I know I will.
In Seoul today, due to sudden increase in the weather condition, the cherry blossom flowers are starting to bloom, so much faster than the expected date for this year! It goes the same with other regions too! For Seoul, the new date for Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival for this year will be April 3 ~ April 13 and the flowers are expected to be fully bloomed by the end of this week!
Many of the top spring flower sightseeing destinations across the country have been recording higher numbers of visitors each day, as warmer temperatures have caused flowers to bloom far earlier than originally forecast.
Gyeongsangnam-do’s spring flower festival, Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, marked its opening day on April 1, and will continue through April 10. Yeongdeungpo Yeouido Spring Flower Festival, a festival that is hugely popular among Seoul residents, has moved its festival dates to April 3-13, almost 10 days ahead of schedule. The festival in Yeouido will host a feast of flowers for the eyes, including 1,641 varieties of flowering cherry blossoms originating from Jeju Island, azaleas, forsythias, royal azaleas, and other spring harbingers. With 13 different species and 87,000 flowers, and the Han River as a backdrop, the full beauty of area will be hard to forget.
The coastal city of Gangneung’s favored festival, Gyeongpo Cherry Blossom Festival, is also just around the corner, opening on April 5 and continuing through April 13. Don’t miss out on the fantastic scenery at Gyeongpoho Lake, which has 4.3 km-long paths with cherry blossom and forsythia trees in full bloom. Other recommended destinations include Jeju Cherry Blossom Festival, to be held from April 4-6, and Moaksan Mountain Festival in Gimje, from April 18-20.
