拜拜2021

又过了一年啦~ 虽然很陈腔滥调,但我还是忍不住要说一句,时间怎么过得那么快啊?20岁过后的时间以惊人的速度流逝,日子总是过得电光石火,大家都有这样的感觉吗?对我来说,2021年是个意义非凡的一年,有很多人生的milestones呢! 花了些时间细细回顾2021的大小事,哇这一年已经无法用充实两个字来形容了,我简直是争分夺秒地在过日子啊!


2021的上半年,我都在为新家奔波。人生的第一间房子嘛,每个小细节都想做得最好,更何况本人是严重强迫症患者,有很多莫名奇妙的执着(泪),所以整个过程真的很耗费心力。光是挑选家具和电器就已经占据了我大部分的时间。每个周末都往家具店和电器店钻,三天两头就到Jurong East、Tampines和Alexandra的IKEA报到,我现在对IKEA的货品陈列可说是了如指掌了呢!有时候我还真讨厌我那一丝不苟的性格,干嘛每个细节都那么讲究啊~ 话说回来,我为了新家砸了好多钱!什么都得买买买,而且我到现在居然还在买,家里的东西怎么永远都买不齐啊!

Shopee rounds off 12.12 Birthday Sale alongside shoppers, businesses, and local communities with a 6-time uplift in visits across the region on 12 December

Shopee concluded the region’s most joyful year-end celebration, 12.12 Birthday Sale, with visits surging 6 times on 12 December compared to an average day. Shopee users also soaked up the holiday spirit and enjoyed the best deals and rewards, with over 850 million Shopee vouchers claimed on 12.12 across the region.

This translated to a timely lift for sellers and brands on the platform, as orders on Shopee Mall surged by 14 times compared to an average day, and 1 in 8 users are first-time Mall shoppers. At the same time, more people were able to support local businesses with Shopee, with 9 in 10 users shopping from local sellers on 12 December.

Terence Pang, Chief Operating Officer at Shopee said, “We are heartened to be closing the year on a positive note with a successful 12.12 Birthday Sale, the finale of Shopee’s year-end shopping festivals. Beyond Space & Time

It was one fine day in my university hostel room. I was working on a plant design project for formaldehyde production together with my team members. 4:45am in the morning and we were cracking our brain to optimize the process – a 500m cooling tower was just ridiculous, it will break the Guinness World Records, we laughed. Something must be wrong with the mass balance, probably a misplacement of decimal point somewhere. 

Ling said she can’t concentrate on this anymore and asked if I can make her some coffee, she forgot that I have caffeine intolerance so there won’t be any coffee at my place. “Let’s get some fresh air”, I suggested. I was famished after staying up all night and needed a sugar fix, plus my vision started to get blurry after staring at the monitor for such long hours. The idea of taking a break from the plant design woke everyone up, including Mei who was zoning out since 3am. We walked through the long corridor in silence and I suddenly realized that I forgot the car key. “I must be too exhausted”, I murmured to myself. The girls went ahead to take the lift and I headed back to my room to get the key.

Shopee now offers seamless hotel bookings in partnership with Agoda and Booking.com

As travel starts to rebound, Shopee is now offering hotel bookings in partnership with global digital travel platforms Agoda and Booking.com. Through this exclusive partnership, Shopee users will now be able to access one of the largest online inventories of hotels, resorts, homes and apartments supplied by Agoda and Booking.com.


This new service offering is timely in meeting the needs of consumers, as domestic travel re-opens in Malaysia, and more people are planning holidays amid the year-end seasons. Agoda’s search data1 in September revealed that searches for domestic stays have risen by over 57% compared to May this year. There has also been an increase of 37% more users in Southeast Asia searching for international destinations. Users can enjoy greater savings and exclusive travel deals by booking directly on Shopee. This partnership will also help to increase the reach and visibility of hotel partners to boost domestic and international tourism.
