Meet Althea’s A’Bloom, the latest in-house brand from Althea Korea! Frankly speaking, I'm totally amazed by how fast Althea Korea has grown in the past few years, it's a really successful e-commerce site! When I first encountered A'Bloom, my impression is that it's cute, fun, quirky and colourful. A’bloom is all about delivering fresh, fast and funky K-beauty products that will delight users to play and share.

First thing first, let's get all the gunk and dirt out of our pores using A'Bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster. A’bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster is an easy and quick triple treatment for blackheads, whiteheads and dead skin for daily care. A'Bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster looks like a lipstick with a protective cover, this reminds me of my old Etude House Eye Cream which has exactly the same design. I'm absolutely in love with this fuss-free and convenient packaging that I don't need to get my hands in contact with the product when using it. The black colour (which comes from the charcoal ingredient) makes the product looks extra cool and unisex, guys can use it without feeling weird.

As mentioned, A'Bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster contains charcoal and we all know that charcoal is very powerful in adsorbing dirt from pores. Apart from that, it contains natural ingredients including:
- Natural BHA ingredient: to exfoliate dead skin cells
- Apricot seed powder: to remove excessive sebum
- Tea tree leaf oil: to soothe skin redness and irritations
Using the product is as easy as ABC. First of all you need to dampen the skin, then apply the stick directly on targeted areas just like a lipstick. Next, give your skin a good massage in circular motions for 30 seconds. After that, rinse off with water and you're all done.
I applied the stick on my chin and nose area, as my pores are the largest and dirtiest at these parts. The stick feels harder than a lipstick and a little goes a long way, one stick should be able to last me for a very long time. There is a nice cooling sensation when the product is being applied due to the presence of tea tree oil, I love it! My skin feels so squeaky clean after using A'Bloom BHA Blackhead Blaster, and it doesn't feel tight and dry at the same time. This is really important because losing water content from the skin is definitely the last thing we want to experience.
In additional, I prefer this painless method of clearing my blackheads as compared to the painful extraction process. I don't have major blackheads problem but prevention is always better than cure, so I will keep using it to keep my pores clean and clear.

After a thorough pore cleansing, it's time to pamper your skin with some sheet masks. Introducing A'Bloom Refreshing Skin Mask Pack which features natural goodness from 4 different fruits: Watermelon, Lemon, Avocado and Peach. I need to highlight how much I love the packaging, they are so fun, cute and young aren't they? Read the puns on the packaging, they totally cracked me up!
A’bloom refreshing skin masks pack have strong antioxidant with harmony of fruits and natural ingredients of plants that provides custom care solution for each skin type. The PH balancing helps strengthens skin barrier as well as re-charge the skin with fresh energy.
- Watermelon has 92% of water which is excellent for moisturizing and soothing for skin
- It contains natural aminoic acid called Citrulin and Betain that forms a natural moisturizing membrane on the skin, leaving it moisturized as well as a smoother skin that does not dry out.
- The mask also contains lavender extract which helps soothe sensitive skin and provides liveliness.
- Peaches are rich in moisture and vitamin A retinol components which helps control the oil and water balance of the skin.
- It helps normalize the skin turnover cycle with retinol by preventing troubles and taking care of dead skin cells and provide smooth, hydrated skin.

Now which fruit mask is your favourite? I personally love Lemon Lime Whitening Mask the most. One thing to highlight is that all these masks are soaked in an incredibly generous amount of essence. The sheet mask material is really unique that it doesn't resemble any other sheet masks that I have tried before. It's thin, it feels silky and it adheres to skin very well. One glance at the mirror and I knew that I love this sheet mask - no bubbles is formed underneath the mask sheet, the fitting is perfect as well!
Upon further checking, I found out that the sheet masks are made from 100% natural eco-friendly fabric to effectively deliver the efficacy of the rich fruits essence. Furthermore, the essences are formulated with reduced viscosity, which explains how the sheet mask is able to pick up such a generous amount of essence in it.
Althea has really outdone themselves this time round. When I thought that the mask might be expensive looking at its premium quality, I was totally surprised by the super affordable price tag of RM 2 for each mask. It-is-RM-2-for-1-mask. TOO CHEAP. What can you buy with RM 2? I need to bag more masks home before it's gone!

Last but not least, the cutest product among all, A'Bloom Meringue Puffs! Mimicking the shape of everyone's favourite dessert, merigue puff, this is the first beauty tool from A’bloom by Althea. Inspired by baking meringue cookies, this beauty blender comes in 2 sizes: Giant Meringue Puff and Baby Meringue Puff.

The giant meringue puff will provide quick and smooth makeup application on wide surface of the skin, while the baby meringue puff will provide fine and detailed makeup application on small surface of the skin with its pointed tips. I use the giant puff for BB cream application all over my face, and the baby puff to conceal my skin imperfections at areas like under eyes and nose.
These meringue puffs can be used in 2 different ways to create a matte look and a dewy look:
- Moist and glossy skin makeup when the puff is soaked with water
- Matte and Flawless skin makeup when the puff is used directly without water
I personally prefer a dewy look so I always use the puffs with water. And the most interesting part comes in, the puff will grow 1.5 times bigger when it is soaked in water, how magical!

The size difference is not obvious from the photos but it's actually quite significant in real life. The meringue puffs are made out of non-latex sponge with hydrophilic properties, which causes water to be retained in the puff and hence results in the "growth" in size.
The shape of the puff is just perfect to reach to all corners on my face, an uniform make up can be achieved so easily! Hopefully Althea will release meringue puffs in other pastel colours such as yellow, turquoise and baby blue, I will definitely collect all of them!
In a nutshell, I'm very impressed and happy with all products from Althea A'Bloom. The brownie point is that everything is really affordable that you don't even need to think twice to cart them out (this is quite scary because it also means that you will end up buying a lot!). I'm super excited to see more products from A'Bloom, maybe some make up?
