It was around 6pm when we finished our trekking at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, so we decided to settle our dinner nearby. We passed by Cheong Chin Nam Road (opposite to Beauty World Center) and found that this road is full of restaurants, with long lines of customers waiting for a seat along the road, it seemed like the restaurants here do serve good food! (Or maybe it's just the queuing culture in Singapore?)

It's rare for me to have porridge as dinner because porridge is not the most filling food and I really hate going to bed with a half-empty stomach. Therefore, I was a bit hesitant to have Sin Ma Claypot Live Bull Frog Porridge as dinner, especially after a good amount of walking at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve Trekking Experience - A Quick Forest Therapy

It was my 20th weekend spent in Singapore since the closure of Singapore-Malaysia border, I have never been away from home for such a long time. On a side note, I have been working from home for a freaking 6 months (and counting...) and living a relatively sedentary lifestyle since March. While I still make it a point to work out regularly and clock at least 10k steps daily, I'm hungry for some fresh air and phytoncide. Therefore, I decided to do some light trekking at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve for  a quick forest therapy. 

Bukit Timah is the highest hill in Singapore so I thought the trekking could be challenging. To my surprise, it turned out that I don't even need to "trek" the hill, all you need is just some casual walking. The nature reserve is well furnished with facilities such as restroom, tarred road, staircase, shelters and dustbins. It took us about 30 min to reach to the summit, the highest point in Singapore.

因为COVID-19的关系，我们家今年的旅行计划全都被取消了，我26天的年假一天都还没用到呢！（现在已经7月了啊）我非常幸运地在年头去了趟印尼日惹，那时候COVID-19刚刚开始肆虐，所以观光活动还没被禁止。可是，我还想要去别的地方玩啊！出国已经不在考虑范围之内了，所以我们决定等疫情好转后，来个Cuti-Cuti Malaysia。我们好久好久没在本地旅行了，最近10年我们都出国玩，Cuti-Cuti Malaysia是属于中小学时代的回忆。坦白说，我自己是非常喜欢在本地旅行的——可以很随性地安排行程（没行程也没关系），也可以自己开车，语言无障碍，天气气候根本不必适应，而且花费便宜，这才是真正让人休息放松的旅行啊！

想到这里，就忍不住挖出以前和朋友们Cuti-Cuti Malaysia的旧照片，有些出游实在是很废，但就是开心。前些日子和大学朋友们在KL玩了两三天，我们也就只是吃饭逛街聊天，照片也只象征性地拍了一张，但大家都玩得很开心。如果你和我一样，想要在马来西亚来个国内小旅行的话，那我推荐霹雳、槟城和马六甲这三个州。这三个地方简直百去不厌，有好吃的也有好玩的。今天就要和大家分享我在霹雳金宝尝过的美食。

坦白说，金宝的景点并不多。我们家都把金宝当作吃午餐的pit stop。离开金宝前也总是会到位于金宝巴士总站后面的新桥南饼家买Kaya角。个人建议大家在金宝停留半天，吃个早午餐就够了。

说到金宝美食，最经典的非咖喱面包鸡莫属！柔软酥香的面包里面藏着热辣辣的咖喱鸡，你一定要试试这经典的美味！金宝大部分的酒家都有制作咖喱面包鸡，比较著名的就是游记酒家和家好月圆大饭店，但其实两间的面包鸡都一样好吃。

圆鼓鼓的咖喱面包鸡看了就很想咬一口，这外形根本就是个巨型curry puff嘛！面包鸡可以外带也可以堂食，很适合当作伴手礼送给家人朋友。

I bought CFC Lab Argan Glow Hair Oil Elder Flower from Althea Korea when it was on sales, at RM45 only, which is super cheap given that the oil comes in a bottle of 110ml. I especially love its packaging, doesn't it look like a bottle of miniature liquor? The design of the box and label gives a luxurious and regal touch, it's really rare to see such a pretty hair care product around! You might think that the bottle is made from glass but it's actually made from plastic.

How to Use A Yellow Blush? Canmake Powder Cheek PW40 Review

I used to be very obsessed with blushers and I have a great collection of blushers from different brands in different shades (my current obsession is lipsticks which I guess it's pretty obvious XD). Among all the blushers that I own, there is one that is really special and unique, so unique that I haven't had a chance to wear it out. I'm sure that you have seen this yellow blush from Canmake before, to be exact, Canmake Powder Cheek in shade PW40.

Similar to the other Canmake Powder Cheek, it comes with a small brush which is really convenient for a quick touch up. When I'm using the blusher at home, I would prefer to use a full size make up brush instead, because I find the handle of provided brush is a bit too short for my liking. The packaging is small, compact and light. I can toss it into my handbag without hesitation. 

工作五周年有感

时间真的过得好快啊！一眨眼我已经在职场打滚了5年，整整5年啊！5年的时间说长不长，说短不短，足以把菜鸟的稚嫩与天真给磨光。我每年都会庆祝工作周年纪念日，除了犒赏自己吃顿好的，也会检视自己在工作上的表现。而今年，我决定把现阶段的心得写下来，让以后的自己回顾，也顺便分享给正在努力工作的你，或是刚开始踏入社会的你。都说了是“心得”，那就是根据我自身经历所得到的结论，没有对，也没有错。每个人的人生际遇都不一样，遇上的人也不尽相同。我总觉得我生命里所遇见的人都很极端——要不非常地优秀，要不非常地糟糕。例子就不多说啦，反正就是周旋在天使和恶魔之间。


我们每天都花1/3的时间在工作上，所以一定要做得开心才行，不然就太对不起自己了（就算没有很开心，也可别觉得很难过痛苦才是）。世上并没有一份“最好”的工作，但我们可以调整心态，让工作变得更开心更令人满足。以下的三点，都是职场新鲜人常有的盲点。只要常常提醒自己，上班的日子不仅能更快乐，在工作上的表现还能大大地提升呢！

1. 不需要和别人比较，你只需要和自己比

这个真的很有趣，也是一个很重要的心态设置。看到年纪相仿的朋友职位越爬越高，薪水越领越多，你会有什么感受？羡慕？妒忌？很多人都喜欢把身边的朋友当作自己的benchmark，以他们的成就来衡量自己的表现，而且这不止局限于工作上，连很多生活上大小事都能用来比较。再不然就是和经验相仿的同事比较——为什么老板会选择升他的职？为什么她能得到这样的机会？

我个人认为，这是一个最糟糕最错误的心态。

I have been wanting to share my review on Guerisson 9 Complex Lifting Cream with you guys for the longest time but sadly, this post has been sitting in the draft for months, as I always have more important things that come before my blog. Anyway, thanks to the COVID-19 lockdown in Malaysia, I have some free time to finish up this post, like finally. I'm sure that you have heard about the famous Korean horse oil that everyone raved about when it was first launched. So many of my friends lugged them back from Korea and I personally have read countless exaggerated positive reviews about these oils. I was skeptical and had the impression that this is just another overrated bizarre skin care, just because an exotic ingredient is used in the production and people are going crazy about it.
